Visits

I can't believe this is my 14th year working in schools! I've taught grades K-6, worked as a librarian, and I'm currently an administrator as the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. No matter how big or small the group, I love leading learners in activities that connect identity and social issues with writing.

 

I believe in inquiry-based learning and embrace the idea that learning should be hands-on, draw on students' prior knowledge, and be led by authentic questioning and curiosity. I am happy to suggest a topic for a classroom or community-based visit, or work with you to meet the needs of your audience!
